Lazy Girl Recipe: Turkey Spaghetti 


I have been wanting to post a recipe on here for awhile and tonight as I was making one of my family’s staple meals I realized it would be perfect. We make turkey spaghetti pretty regularly and it is one of those things that you can whip up easily when you want a home cooked meal without the fuss. The recipe is both quick and easy as well as being fairly cheap and feeds 4-6 people, or like in our case 2 people 3 times. So here it is and I hope you make it and love it.

What You Need:

1 16oz Pkg Ground Turkey

1 Onion (I use pre-chopped frozen ones to save time)

1 Green Pepper (I prefer to use a colored pepper instead of green)

2 Jars of your preference of Spaghetti Sauce

Spaghetti Noodles

Butter or Olive Oil


Garlic powder (or actual garlic)

Onion Powder

Salt and Pepper

In a pan put in either  butter or olive oil along with chopped peppers and onions and cover until they soften a little (approx. 3-4 minutes). You just want to get them started because they will continue to cook once you add the meat in. Into your turkey, onion, and pepper mixture you are going to add your basil, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and cook this until your meat browns.

Once your mixture is done you might notice  some juice from the veggies and meat don’t worry about draining it because it offers some nice additional flavor to the sauce. Pop in one jar of spaghetti sauce and mix it in then look at your sauce and judge how much more you need from the second bottle. If you notice you sauce is looking pale and too thick you probably need more of the second bottle of sauce if it looks fine you won’t need much, its all up to preference. Also add in more seasoning if needed then turn if off and let it rest.

Cook your spaghetti and when its done toss in a little butter or olive oil and salt and give it a mix.

And that is all assemble and you are ready to eat!
