Food, Sundance, and Sleaze: A Post of Obsessions

Hey there!

I haven’t done one of these posts in ages, mainly because I couldn’t think of any obsessions to write about. At least not enough to warrant an entire post. Anyway here are the things that won’t leave my mind at this moment (sure to change soon)…

1. Food Network

I started coking a lot this month and I blame a lot of it on my obsession with watching the food network. I used to watch it a lot on the weekends, but not I am literally turning the damn channel on everyday. I swear I don’t even pay attention to it anymore, I look up and it’s on the TV. And generally it’s one of these three ladies…

Yeah I discriminate a little, I only like chefs with cute hair and clothes…. don’t judge me!

2. Sundance 2011

I was supposed to be here at this very moment, but I had to cancel my plans.  And when I say I was going I don’t mean I was thinking about it, I was accepted as a volunteer and had everything taken care of. Unfortunately a plane ticket wasn’t included in the package and I had to cancel. I don’t mind the fact that I had to cancel because to be honest going as a volunteer and as a guest are two different things. I most likely would have liked some things and hated others (particularly the standing outside in the cold for several hours) and I also realize that I would have missed quite a bit because of my volunteer duties. But even knowing all of that and fighting off a cold for most of the days I would have been there, I can’t help still checking in to see what’s happening. You know check in to see what I missed.

So far not a ton….. some awesome celebs, but there is a good chance I would have missed them even if I was there.

3. Spring!

It’s winter and the weather sucks, I have been fending off an impending cold for weeks, and I am sick of looking like a stuffed turkey every time I leave the house. I am dying for some warm weather and cute clothes. Spring please come quickly!

4. This artist…

Her name is Amber and you can find her work here, she also has an etsy store where you can buy her work.  So why do I like her? Well there are three reasons:

1. Her tutorial video has really given me a lot a help with watercolor painting…

2. Her workspace is awesome…

It’s simply a board on her bed, but I think it’s pretty awesome. I like no frills!

3. Of course the work is cool!

This was the only one I could grab, but all of her stuff is amazing. You should check her out…right now!

5. Sleazy

I downloaded this yesterday and I am hooked. It’s just a damn good song!

And that is all for my current obsessions, hope you liked them and maybe found something new to obsess over.

Here is the daily pic:

Now off to fight the good fight against my impending cold. I wish it would either just come on and be a cold or get the hell out of here. It’s getting annoying!

Later ;0)
